Ned's newest project

Ned started closing in the older out building to create a workshop when we finished the barn last fall but the progress has been very slow. We have finally gotten the electricity finished and the sheet rock on the ceiling. We have purchased a kerosene heater and will be getting the insulation in the ceiling and walls soon. Ned is ready to have a place to make a little sawdust!

UBGF National runoffs

Ned and I left on Thursday after work and drove as far as Lenoir City, TN and spent the night. We got up bright and early to finish our trip to Morgantown, KY for the UBGF National Runoffs. We also were excited about getting to see the new bathroom partitions in the new clubhouse. Ned and I donated these and they were recently installed. We took Chigger, TarBoy, Stubby and one of Todd Burris's dogs named Hank. We were please with the way our dogs ran but the judges did not like them so much. There were 81 little males and it was 4:40 when they finished the first series. Chigger ran in the last pack and we were really glad when he got picked up so we could start our 9 hour trip back to Albemarle. I know we won't make it home tonight but we hope to al least make it to the east side of Cookeville. It is 9:00 now and we are close to Cookeville. It is 6 hours home from here.
The time change along with crossing into Central Standard Time has really confused us. Not sure exactly what time it is where. LOL Hopefully we will get all this straightened out tomorrow.
The leaves have been beautiful and I will be glad to get to see most of the mountains tomorrow in the daylight.

October 27, 2008

Ned and I now have 5 grandchildren. Blake, Davis, Alyssa, Lydia and Jackson are all so special. Blake is now in kindergarten, loves reading, playing T-ball and being all grown up. Davis, at 3, thinks he is as old as his big brother. He loves being outside and spending time with the "pucky" dogs. Alyssa is a ball of energy who loves to tease her Grandpa Ned. Lydia, at 1 1/2 has stolen her Grandpa's heart. Her favorite toy is the chicken dance Santa! Jackson spends most of her time talking and smiling. She is a very vocal little girl. We are so lucky to have such wonderful grandchildren!
